About
Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit (PBMU) offers an integrated, multidisciplinary program for the comprehensive treatment of Anorexia Nervosa and other eating disorders. This program has two main interdependent components, including restoration of physical health and engagement in therapy to address underlying issues. Restoration of physical health is requisite to engagement in the therapy process and a full recovery. Children, ages 17 and under, who meet medical and psychiatric criteria for admission to an acute inpatient psychiatric unit.

Hours
24 hours daily. Call Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit intake line to discuss referral process. Most patients have an outpatient eating disorder consultation with the Eating Disorder Program director for assessment and to discuss treatment options prior to consideration of planned admission.
Payment
Accepts WA Apple Health (Medicaid), private insurance, self pay and contracts. Financial aid is available to families without insurance.
