Island Outdoor School
About
Island Outdoor School provides a child led, nature and play-based experience that empowers children to be active in their own learning. We also incorporate some guided activities designed to help children use their senses, their words and their peers to explore their natural surroundings while children learn math, literacy, science, art, music and more. Our program supports the development of the whole child, focusing on what we value the most, the social and emotional well-being and growth of every child. Although we are an Outdoor Nature Based program, we do utilize some spaces in the form of heated gazebos that provide cover and warmth for more "indoor" play/activities. ages 2.5 to 6 years old
